App: GroceryGlow

1. Overview

GroceryGlow helps you scan receipts, track grocery spending, and sync your history across devices. We respect your privacy and only collect data needed to provide the service.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Receipt images and receipt data you scan or enter manually (store, date, totals, items)

• Optional profile info (household name, budget, currency)

• Sign in with Apple identifier (a unique Apple user ID)

Information collected automatically

• Device information (e.g., model, OS version)

• Basic operational logs needed for security and troubleshooting

In‑app purchases

We do not collect your payment details. Payments are processed by Apple.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Process receipt scans

• Provide price history, trends, and alerts

• Sync receipts across your devices

• Maintain your account and settings

• Improve app performance and reliability

4. Receipt Processing

Receipt images are sent to our backend and processed by Google Gemini API to extract items and totals. We do not sell receipt data.

5. Sync and Account

If you sign in with Apple, we create an account record using your Apple identifier and associate your receipts with it. This allows cross‑device sync.

6. Notifications

If enabled, we send local notifications on your device (e.g., price alerts). You can change notification permissions in your device Settings.

7. Sharing

We only share data with service providers necessary to deliver the app, such as:

• Google Gemini (receipt parsing)

• Hosting and database providers (for sync and storage)

We do not sell or rent your data.

8. Data Retention

We store your data only as long as necessary to provide the service. You can request deletion at any time by contacting: contact@groceryglow.eu

9. Security

We use reasonable security measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Your Choices

You can:

• Delete receipts in the app

• Request account/data deletion

• Control notifications in device Settings
